Honda CR-V Hybrid vs. Competitors for Sale in North Attleboro, MA
Overview
Efficiency and practicality are two of the most sought-after traits in the automobile world, and that’s why hybrids and crossover utility vehicles are currently hot sellers. But what better way is there to please all camps than by combining those qualities – a hybrid crossover – to create what millions of drivers see as the ideal vehicle?
Now that the 2020 Honda CR-V Hybrid is finally here, the eco-friendly crossover segment has become even more intriguing. Through this debuting model’s versatility, fuel efficiency, generous interior space, and sophisticated styling, it’s a natural on any crossover shopper’s short list. Although Honda’s reputation speaks for itself, other automakers are right there to give the CR-V Hybrid a run for its money. Two notable rivals are the 2020 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid and Ford Escape Hybrid. Despite the rivalry, the 2020 Honda CR-V Hybrid does well to hold its own against these two contenders.

Amenities
The 2020 Honda CR-V Hybrid is certainly one of the best-equipped crossovers in this competition. For instance, with the EX trim level (one up from the base), you’ll get the luxury and convenience of standard remote engine start, letting you get the vehicle warm or cool from indoors before you head out. That low-priced trim is also outfitted with a power sunroof and heated front seats. To reach those features with the RAV4 Hybrid, you’ll need to pay more. The CR-V Hybrid also offers Walk Away Auto Lock, a security feature you won’t find on the RAV4 Hybrid.
The CR-V Hybrid does one over on the Escape Hybrid by including standard all-wheel drive (AWD), just as its ultimate rival, the RAV4 Hybrid, does. Buyers of the Escape Hybrid, though, will need to pay an additional $1,500 to get AWD. The CR-V Hybrid has some other fine standard amenities, including adaptive cruise control with low-speed follow and dual-zone automatic climate control. Adaptive cruise control is available as an added-cost option on the Escape Hybrid, but dual-zone automatic climate control is not offered at all. The 2020 Honda CR-V Hybrid also produces more total system horsepower than the Escape Hybrid (212 hp vs. 200 hp).
Spaciousness
Honda understands the need for interior space, and the 2020 Honda CR-V Hybrid is no exception to this rule. With its 68.7 cubic feet of total cargo volume, it beats out the Escape Hybrid’s 65.4 cu. ft. Although the RAV4 Hybrid provides a speck more room overall, the difference is minimal (69.8 cu. ft.), especially considering that its spare tire housing doesn’t allow the rear seat to fold down all the way, like the 2020 CR-V Hybrid’s does. The 2020 Honda CR-V Hybrid goes without a spare tire (although it does come with an inflation kit) so that there’s more space for the hybrid battery pack and so the seats can fold down entirely. When it comes to passenger space, the 2020 Honda CR-V Hybrid has an edge with 105.9 cu. ft.; the RAV4 Hybrid only provides 98.9 cu. ft. and the Escape Hybrid 104 cu. ft.
