2026 Honda Ridgeline

2026 Honda
Ridgeline

It’s been two decades since the Ridgeline, Honda’s first and only pickup truck, made its debut. Model year 2026 marks this milestone with a few changes worth noting. First, all trims now come with active noise cancelling, and the TrailSport upgrades its infotainment suite with HD Radio. The top-of-the-line Black Edition now offers a two-toned exterior, pairing a black roof with either Platinum White Pearl or Sonic Gray Pearl paint. The TrailSport also changes its standard wheel color from Pewter Gray to Shark Gray and swaps out Diffused Sky Blue Pearl color for Ash Green Metallic.

As always, the Ridgeline gives drivers the storage utility of a pickup and the passenger practicality and ride comfort of a crossover. The in-bed trunk is lockable and fitted with a drain so it can double as a cooler. The dual-function tailgate is the first of its kind in its class, opening traditionally from the top down or from the side for easy bed access. A unibody platform provides a smooth ride, and the spacious five-seat interior comes with convenient amenities like standard wireless smartphone charging and triple-zone climate control, making the Ridgeline as comfortable as it is versatile. A big part of that versatility is the array of special features in the bed, including a dual-action tailgate, a lockable in-bed trunk, cargo lights, and eight heavy-duty tie-down cleats.

Trims and Powertrain

Honda issues the 2026 Ridgeline in four trim packages: Sport, RTL, TrailSport, and Black Edition. A 3.5-liter V6 engine (280 horsepower and 262 lb.-ft. of torque) forms the powertrain with a 9-speed automatic transmission with shift-by-wire and paddle shifters. The Sport, RTL, and Black Edition return an EPA-estimated 18 mpg city and 24 mpg highway; the TrailSport matches the other trims’ city mileage but drops to 23 mpg on the highway. The entire lineup comes with Honda’s Intelligent Variable Torque Management all-wheel drivetrain (AWD), Eco Assist System, and an Intelligent Traction Management selector with Normal, Mud, Sand, and Snow settings. MacPherson front struts and a multilink rear suspension with stabilizer bars are standard (with off-road tuning on the TrailSport). The Ridgeline stands with 7.64 inches of ground clearance atop a unibody platform. The sole configuration pairs a four-door crew cab with a 64-inch bed. An integrated Class III trailer hitch with a 7-pin harness is standard, and the towing limit is 5,000 pounds.

Standard Equipment by Trim

The Sport’s interior showcases fabric-trimmed seats, tri-zone automatic climate control with rear ducts, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a wireless phone charger, push-button start, two front-mounted USB ports, one-touch turn signal indicators, a power-locking tailgate, power windows with auto-up/down in the front row, and a 60/40-split fold-up rear bench with under-seat storage. The exterior highlights are remote start, Smart Entry with Walk Away Auto Lock, LED headlights with auto-on/off, LED fog lights, LED brake lights, power-adjustable side-view mirrors, a capless fuel filler with remote-release door, dual chrome exhaust tips, rear privacy glass, and 18-inch Shark Gray alloy wheels.

The RTL is improved with leather upholstery, a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with lumbar support and memory, a four-way power-adjustable front passenger seat, heated front seats, a one-touch power-tilt moonroof, an auto-dimming rearview mirror with a HomeLink garage door remote, a power-sliding rear window, heated side-view mirrors, LED map lights, dual rear USB ports (four total), an acoustic windshield, and 18-inch Pewter Gray machine-finished alloy wheels. The TrailSport is outfitted with a heated steering wheel, LED daytime running lights, power-folding heated side-view mirrors, Trail Orange LED ambient interior lighting, Trail Orange stitching on the seats and steering wheel, illuminated front beverage holders, all-season floor mats, all-terrain tires, and trim-exclusive 18-inch Shark Gray alloy wheels (18-inch HPD wheels are optional). The Black Edition stands out thanks to ventilated front seats, heated rear outboard seats, red steering-wheel stitching, red LED ambient interior lighting, courtesy lights on the front doors, and 18-inch Berlina Black alloy wheels. It also gets two more features for the truck bed: LED cargo lighting and a 150/400-watt auxiliary power outlet.

Advanced Driver-Assistance

Honda Sensing driver-assist technology is standard issue, with every trim getting collision mitigation braking, road departure mitigation, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, a blind-spot information system, a cross-traffic monitor, and automatic high beams. Also standard are Vehicle Stability Assist with Traction Control, post-collision braking, hill start assist, and a multi-angle rearview camera with dynamic guidelines. The TrailSport and Black Edition add front and rear parking sensors.

Infotainment and Connectivity

The Ridgeline’s base infotainment suite has a 9-inch touchscreen, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and Bluetooth HandsFreeLink and audio streaming. SiriusXM satellite radio access is added at the RTL level, while the TrailSport and Black Edition have HD Radio, Honda HD Digital Traffic, and a Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation with voice recognition. The three lower trims get a 215-watt sound system with seven speakers, while the Black Edition upgrades to a 540-watt premium sound system with eight speakers. Both audio systems have speed-sensitive volume compensation, active noise cancellation, and a subwoofer. Every Ridgeline comes with the HondaLink Basic Package (24-hour roadside assistance, recall notifications, vehicle guides, and service scheduling) and HondaLink’s Link Package, which provides vehicle notifications and dashboard view through the HondaLink app.
