Civic Sedan Hybrid

The 2026 Honda Civic Sedan Hybrid takes everything drivers love about the iconic Civic and adds a bonus with added fuel efficiency and upscale features. This fuel-efficient compact car delivers eco-conscious performance and trademark Honda dependability without compromising on style or comfort. Honda splits the Civic Sedan lineup with the two lower trims being gas-only and the two higher trims getting the gas-electric powertrain along with more standard features. For example, only the Civic Sedan Hybrid gets a power moonroof, dual-zone automatic climate control, and heated front seats – not to mention fuel economy up to 50 miles per gallon.

Trims, Powertrain, and Fuel Economy

The ‘26 Civic Sedan Hybrid is offered in a pair of trim packages: Sport and Sport Touring. They have the same 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine found in the traditional non-hybrid Civic, but with a pair of electric motors rounding out the powertrain; the combined output is 200 horsepower. The main mechanical picture is completed by a front-wheel drivetrain and a continuously variable transmission with deceleration selectors. Whether you choose the Sport or the more premium Sport Touring, you'll enjoy exceptional fuel efficiency, with EPA estimates of 50 mpg in the city and 47 mpg on the highway.

Noteworthy Amenities

The entry-level Sport offers an ideal balance of athletic style and upscale comfort. This well-equipped trim boasts heated front seats, a one-touch power moonroof, dual-zone automatic climate control, and power windows with front auto-up/down. Inside, you’ll find stylish red ambient interior lighting, a 60/40-split folding rear seatback with a center armrest and cupholders, sport pedals, a black headliner, a 7-inch digital gauge cluster, two USB-C ports, and a 12-volt power outlet. On the outside, the Sport is equipped with automatic LED headlights, LED daytime running lights and taillights, Smart Entry with Walk Away Auto Lock, and heated power-adjustable side mirrors.

As the higher trim, the Sport Touring gets some additional luxury features. Among those are leather upholstery, power-adjustable front seats, wireless phone charging, an upgraded 10.2-inch digital gauge cluster, a sunglasses holder, and side mirrors with integrated LED turn-signal indicators.

Active Safety Equipment

No matter which ‘26 Civic Sedan Hybrid trim you choose, the Honda Sensing suite of advanced driver-assistance technologies will be installed. This comprehensive system consists of forward collision warning, lane departure warning, collision mitigation braking, road departure mitigation, lane keeping assist, adaptive cruise control with low-speed follow, traffic sign recognition, traffic jam assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and automatic high beams. The Sport Touring adds low-speed braking control and front and rear parking sensors.

Infotainment and Connectivity

The ‘26 Civic Sedan Hybrid comes with a modern and intuitive multimedia system to keep the driver and passengers connected and entertained. There are differences between the trims, with the Sport getting a 7-inch touchscreen and an eight-speaker sound system while the Sport Touring upgrades to Google built-in system with a 9-inch touchscreen and a 12-speaker Bose audio system with an integrated subwoofer. Plus, the USB-based Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are improved to the wireless form in the higher trim. Both trims have Bluetooth hands-free phone and audio streaming and access to HondaLink remote vehicle services. The Sport Touring also gets Amazon Alexa, an onboard Wi-Fi hotspot, and HD Radio.
