The 2025 Honda Ridgeline is made in four trims: Sport, RTL, TrailSport, and Black Edition. Each receives a 3.5-liter V6 engine (output: 280 hp and 262 lb.-ft. of torque) paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission; as mentioned, all-wheel drive is standard. The Ridgeline can tow up to 5,000 pounds, and most trims achieve an EPA-estimated 18 mpg in the city and 24 mpg on the highway (the TrailSport is rated at 18 city/23 highway).
The Sport comes with remote start, proximity keyless entry, push-button ignition, wireless phone charging, tri-zone automatic climate control, a 7-inch digital gauge cluster, two USB ports, two 12-volt power outlets, and a 60/40-split lift-up rear seat with underseat storage. On the exterior, look for automatic LED headlights, LED fog lights, a dual-action tailgate leading to a cargo bed with a built-in trunk and 8 heavy-duty tie-down cleats, and a Class III trailer hitch with a 7-pin connector. The RTL pads its list of amenities with leather upholstery, heated power-adjustable front seats with position memory for the driver, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a moonroof, an auto-dimming rearview mirror with HomeLink, a power-sliding rear window, and a sound-reducing acoustic windshield.
The rugged TrailSport is outfitted with an off-road suspension, all-terrain tires, a heated steering wheel, power-folding mirrors, LED daytime running lights, orange interior contrast stitching, and orange ambient interior lighting. Beyond that, it comes with all-season floor mats and illuminated cup holders. The Black Edition retains many of the TrailSport’s features but does not have the off-road suspension, all-terrain tires, all-season floor mats, or orange accents. It compensates, though, with ventilated front seats, heated rear outboard seats, two additional USB-C charging ports, red interior contrast stitching, red ambient interior lighting, LED truck-bed lights, and a truck-bed power outlet.
Every ‘25 Ridgeline has the Honda Sensing suite of advanced safety features installed as a standard feature. The included technologies are collision mitigation braking, road departure mitigation, adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and automatic high beams. Those who choose the TrailSport or Black Edition will also get front and rear parking sensors.
The infotainment system on the ‘25 Ridgeline is housed within a 9-inch touchscreen. Its main components are wireless smartphone connectivity (Android Auto and Apple CarPlay), a seven-speaker audio system, and Bluetooth hands-free phone and audio streaming. The RTL and higher trims add SiriusXM satellite radio; the TrailSport and Black Edition also get navigation and voice recognition. As the topmost trim, the Black Edition is fully loaded with HD Radio and an upgraded audio system with eight speakers.
