Trims and Powertrain

The ‘25 Passport has three trim packages to select from: EX-L, TrailSport, and Black Edition. they all have the same powertrain, made up of a 280-horsepower (262 lb.-ft. of torque) 3.5-liter V6 engine and a 9-speed automatic transmission. The EPA-estimated fuel economy across the board is 19 mpg around town and 24 mpg on the highway; the towing capacity is 5,000 pounds, regardless of the trim. All-wheel drive comes standard, as does an intelligent traction management system with settings for Snow, Sand, and Mud. It’s worth noting that the TrailSport has an off-road-tuned suspension, all-terrain tires, and a wider track for optimized handling and stability.

Standard Features

The EX-L has remote engine start, dual chrome exhaust finishers, a power tailgate, heated side mirrors, LED projector headlights with auto on/off, LED daytime running lights, LED taillights, a power moonroof, Smart Entry with Walk Away Auto Lock, and 20-inch Sparkle Silver alloy wheels. It has heated power-adjustable front seats, leather upholstery, tri-zone automatic climate control, wireless phone charging, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, HomeLink, three USB ports (one front/two rear), and two 12-volt power outlets (one front and one rear).

The off-road-ready TrailSport comes with LED fog lights, gloss-black roof rails, power-folding side mirrors, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with Trail Orange stitching, all-season floor mats with the TrailSport logo, orange ambient cabin lighting, integrated rear-door sunshades, and 18-inch Pewter Gray alloy wheels. The Black Edition has a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel with red stitching, heated and ventilated front seats, climate control and heated outboard seats for the second row, red ambient cabin lighting, blacked-out design accents, a power tailgate with hands-free access, rain-sensing windshield wipers, auto-dimming side mirrors, and 20-inch Berlina Black alloy wheels.

Active Driver Aids and Safety Equipment

Honda’s “Safety for Everyone” initiative is fully realized onboard the ‘25 Passport, as every trim level is outfitted with a comprehensive list of Honda Sensing technologies that aid with collision prevention and driver awareness. The standard features are front and rear parking sensors, a blind-spot information system, lane keeping assist, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, collision mitigation braking, a cross-traffic monitor, and automatic high-beams.

Infotainment and Connectivity

The centerpiece of every 2025 Passport’s dash is an 8-inch color touchscreen for connectivity apps and multimedia controls. The EX-L and TrailSport have a 215-watt sound system with a subwoofer and seven speakers, while the Black Edition upgrades to a 540-watt premium audio system with a subwoofer and 10 speakers. All three trims have Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth streaming audio, HD Radio, SiriusXM, and HondaLink. Satellite-linked navigation system with voice recognition and Honda HD Digital Traffic is added at the TrailSport level. The Black Edition also gets a Wi-Fi hotspot and HondaLink subscription services.
