The front-wheel-drive 2025 Civic Type R comes in just one well-equipped trim package with a straightforward purist-pleasing powertrain made up of a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine making 315 horsepower and 310 lb.-ft. of torque) and a six-speed manual transmission with rev-matching. According to the official fuel-economy estimations performed by the EPA, the Civic Type R achieves 22 miles per gallon around town and 28 on the highway.
