The three trim packages for the ‘25 Civic Hatchback are called Sport, Sport Hybrid, and Sport Touring Hybrid. The base Sport comes with a 150-horsepower 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, while the other two get a hybrid powertrain that pairs this engine with two electric motors for a combined output of 200 hp and 232 lb.-ft. of torque. All versions are equipped with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) and front-wheel drivetrain. Fuel economy is this model’s shining star, with the gas-only Sport achieving an EPA-estimated 30 mpg city and 38 mpg highway and the hybrid trims boasting 50 mpg city/45 mpg highway.
The Sport is generously equipped – especially for an entry-level trim – with proximity keyless entry, push-button start, single-zone automatic climate control, a leather-wrapped shift knob, manually adjustable front seats, and a 60/40-split folding rear seatback. It also has a 7-inch driver information display, two USB-C data ports, heated side mirrors, automatic LED headlights, sport pedals, and two-speed intermittent windshield wipers.
The Sport Hybrid adds a host of comfort and convenience features, namely heated front seats with power adjustability for the driver, a moonroof, dual-zone automatic climate control, a rear-seat center armrest with cupholders, and variable intermittent windshield wipers. The Sport Touring Hybrid is the most lush, with leather upholstery, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a power-adjustable front passenger’s seat, wireless phone charging, a 10.2-inch digital gauge cluster, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, rain-sensing wipers, a sunglasses holder, and side mirrors with integrated turn indicators.
Safety is a top priority for Honda, which is why the Honda Sensing suite of advanced driver-assist technologies is standard in every ‘25 Civic Hatchback trim. This groups forward collision warning with collision mitigation braking, road departure mitigation, adaptive cruise control with low-speed follow, lane keeping assist, lane departure warning, traffic jam assist, traffic sign recognition, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and automatic high beams. At the lineup’s peak, the Sport Touring Hybrid is loaded with front and rear parking sensors and low-speed braking control.
The Sport and Sport Hybrid both receive a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system featuring Google built-in, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, an eight-speaker audio system, and Bluetooth hands-free phone and audio streaming. With the Sport Touring Hybrid, the multimedia experience is enhanced with a 9-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, HD Radio, a premium 12-speaker Bose audio system, and a Wi-Fi hotspot.
