Trims and Powertrains

Honda fans will recognize familiar trim names for the Prologue – EX, Touring. They all get an 85-kWh battery pack, but the rest of the powertrain differs. The EX and Touring have a single electric motor that spins the front wheels and produces 212 horsepower, but a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive (AWD) system making 288 combined horsepower is standard on the Elite (and optional on the lower trims).

The EPA-estimated range varies from 296 miles for a Prologue with front-wheel drive to 281 miles for an AWD-equipped edition (273 miles for the Elite). Honda estimates that the Prologue can recharge at a rate of 62 to 65 miles for every 10 minutes of Level 3/DC fast charging. Recharging at the same rate takes the battery from 20% to 80% in about 35 minutes.

The Prologue is handy for moving stuff around as well as people. It’s able to tow up to 1,500 pounds and has as much as 57.7 cubic feet of cargo space (or a maximum of 25.2 cubic feet behind the second row).

Standard Features

The EX starts off the Prologue’s range, but the way it’s equipped keeps it from feeling like a “base” version. It has remote start, heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, a ten-way power driver’s seat, fabric upholstery, an 11-inch digital instrument cluster, and LED exterior lighting with automatic headlights. Some of its other amenities are push-button start, a regenerative braking control paddle, heated side mirrors, rear privacy glass, wireless device charging, four USB ports (two per row), and 19-inch wheels.

The Touring is upgraded with a panoramic moonroof, leather upholstery, a driver’s memory system, a six-way power front passenger seat, a hands-free power tailgate, LED fog lights, roof rails, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. The Elite expands on that equipment list by adding heated and ventilated front seats, a head-up display, a heated windshield-wiper zone, a key card (for vehicle access without a physical key), additional cabin illumination, and self-sealing tires.

Advanced Driver Aids and Safety Technology

The Honda Sensing technology suite comes standard across the Prologue’s trim range. These advanced driver-assistance features include forward collision alert, automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian braking, lane keep assist, side blind-zone alert with steering assist, rear cross-traffic alert with automatic braking, reverse automatic braking, adaptive cruise control, traffic sign recognition (requires data package), and rear parking assist. The higher trims also have front parking sensors, while the Elite adds a surround-view monitor and rear pedestrian alert. All trims have a full complement of airbags plus anti-lock brakes, traction control, stability control, and a rearview monitor.

Infotainment and Connectivity

Infotainment for the 2024 Honda Prologue is managed through an expansive 11.3-inch touchscreen. The system is supported by Google built-in (Google Assistant, Google Maps, and other features), wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, and SiriusXM satellite radio. All trims also get access to a Wi-Fi hotspot and HondaLink connected services. The EX has a six-speaker audio system, while the Touring and Elite have a 12-speaker Bose arrangement.
