The EX-L, TrailSport, and Black Edition make up the 2024 Passport lineup, each driven by a 3.5-liter V6 paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission. This powertrain will generate up to 280 horsepower and 262 lb.-ft. of torque, and the towing capacity for all trim levels maxes out at 5,000 pounds. Every Passport comes with all-wheel drive (AWD) and an intelligent traction management system with settings for mud, sand, and snow.
The ‘24 Passport has seating for up to five passengers, along with 50.5 cubic feet of space behind the second row. The one-touch folding second row can be folded flat to expand the cargo area to 100.8 cubic feet, and underfloor storage behind the rear seats to keep items organized and secure. The EX-L gets leather-trimmed seating, heated front seats, a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, a 4-way power-adjustable passenger’s seat, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, tri-zone automatic climate control, an automatic-dimming rearview mirror, 12V power outlets (front console/cargo area), and three USB ports (one front console/two rear console). This well-furnished base trim’s other standard features include automatic on/off LED headlights, LED taillights, a power moonroof, heated side mirrors, a power tailgate, remote start, Smart Entry with Walk Away Auto Lock, and 20-inch silver alloy wheels.
The TrailSport swaps in 18-inch pewter gray alloys wrapped in textured all-terrain tires while also adding an off-road tuned suspension, LED fog lights, gloss-black roof rails, and power-folding side mirrors. Its leather-trimmed interior has orange contrast stitching, orange ambient LED lighting, headrests embroidered with the TrailSport logo, integrated rear door shades, and all-season floor mats.
Taking the place of last season’s Elite trim, the new Black Edition carries premium features such as a power tailgate with hands-free access, rain-sensing windshield wipers, auto-dimming side mirrors, a heated steering wheel, heated and ventilated front seats, rear outboard heated seats, and second-row climate controls. Its darkly sophisticated appearance shows itself on the 20-inch black-painted alloy wheels, gloss-black grille, exclusive Black Edition badging (front/rear), and blackout accents throughout the headlights, fog lights, side trim, door handles, and windows. Inside, the black leather upholstery has red contrast stitching, with coordinating red ambient cabin lighting.
All Passport SUVs are protected by Honda Sensing, the proprietary suite of driver-assistive technologies designed to enhance driver awareness and reduce risk. This package of safety features includes adaptive cruise control, blind-spot information, collision mitigation braking, a cross-traffic monitor, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, parking sensors (front and rear), and road departure mitigation. Plus, all trims are equipped with automatic high beams, LED daytime running lights, and a rear-seat reminder.
Every ‘24 Passport is set up with an 8-inch color touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, SiriusXM satellite radio, and HD Radio. All trims also have access to HondaLink, a series of subscriptions with available services ranging from remote vehicle functionality and service appointment reminders to roadside assistance and Key by Amazon. Added to the TrailSport and Black Edition are satellite-linked navigation with voice recognition and Honda HD Digital Traffic. In addition to Wi-Fi hotspot capability, the Black Edition trades the standard 7-speaker 215-watt stereo for a 540-watt premium audio system with 10 speakers and a subwoofer.
