Trims and Performance

The 2024 Honda Odyssey comes in five trims: EX, EX-L, Sport, Touring, and Elite. All versions are front-wheel drive and powered by a 3.5-liter 280-horsepower V6; a ten-speed automatic transmission manages the powertrain. This favorite family hauler is EPA-rated for 19 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway. If you have just one or two occupants, the Odyssey will give you up to 158 cubic feet of cargo space behind the front row. There’s a potential 92.3 cubic feet behind the second row and up to 38.6 cubic feet of storage room when all three rows have passengers. Regardless of trim level, the towing capacity is capped at 3,500 pounds.

Standard Equipment

The Odyssey EX comes well equipped with tri-zone automatic climate control, power-sliding side doors, LED exterior lighting with automatic headlights, LED fog lights, proximity keyless entry, push-button start, rear privacy glass, second-row sunshades, power side mirrors, and 18-inch alloy wheels. As the base trim, it gets fabric upholstery, but the front seats are heated. It also has a 12-way power driver’s seat, a four-way power front passenger seat, Magic Slide second-row seats, and a 60/40-split folding third-row Magic Seat.

The amenities start to pile on in the EX-L, which is enhanced with leather upholstery, a power moonroof, a power tailgate, a driver’s memory system, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, power heated side mirrors, sound-reducing windshield glass, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. The Sport brings a twist to the Odyssey’s looks with a black grille and other exterior treatments, black leather upholstery with red stitching, red ambient LED lighting, and 19-inch alloy wheels with a gloss-black finish.

The Touring trim goes even more upscale by building from the EX-L’s equipment list with the addition of front and rear parking sensors, third-row sunshades, ambient LED cabin lighting, 19-inch alloy wheels, and additional infotainment features (these are described in the Infotainment and Connectivity section). Buyers who want it all should choose the Elite. It gets heated and ventilated front seats, a hands-free tailgate, a heated steering wheel, sound-reducing windshield and side glass, rain-sensing windshield wipers, blue ambient lighting, and power-folding side mirrors.

Advanced Driver Aids and Safety Technology

Honda Sensing is installed in every 2024 Odyssey. This group of advanced driver aids includes forward collision warning, collision mitigation, road departure mitigation, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, and traffic sign recognition. Honda also includes blind-spot monitoring with cross-traffic alert, a rear-seat reminder, and automatic high beams. Airbags, anti-lock brakes, vehicle stability control, traction control, and a rearview monitor with dynamic guidelines are also part of every 2024 Odyssey.

Infotainment and Connectivity

The infotainment system has an 8-inch touchscreen in all trims, with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, SiriusXM satellite radio, SMS text messaging, and the HondaLink interface. Upgrades for the Touring and Elite include navigation, a rear-seat entertainment system, CabinWatch rear-cabin monitoring, CabinTalk headphone-based cabin intercom, access to a Wi-Fi hotspot and Honda connected services, and a third-row USB charging port. While most trims get a seven-speaker audio system, the Elite is treated to an 11-speaker premium audio system and wireless device charging. All trims also have multiple USB ports and 12-volt outlets.
